温州医科大学自1998年开始招收全日制护理学专科学生,2001年成立护理学院,同年招收护理本科学生,2006年开始招收护理研究生,2018年开始招收助产学专业学生。
护理学院坚持立德树人根本任务,深悟“护之以技,理之以道”的护理内涵,致力于培养“厚基础,强技能,重人文,求创新”高级护理人才,已为社会输送近15000名毕业生。学生参加全国大学生“挑战杯”“互联网+”等竞赛获金奖、一等奖等奖项,参加中国大学生医学技术技能大赛获全国赛银奖、华东分区赛特等奖等,学生论文入选中华护理学会百篇优秀科技论文、浙江省专业学位研究生优秀实践成果和浙江省优秀专业型硕士学位论文,是浙江省集临床、教学、科研和管理为一体的高层次护理学人才培养的主要基地。
学院拥有一级学科硕士点,先后获批浙江省高校重点学科、浙江省“十三五”“十四五”一流学科(B类)、浙江省优势专业、重点专业。2016年护理学本科专业国内第15家、省内首家率先通过国家教育部本科专业认证,2020年护理专业获批国家一流专业建设点,2022年助产专业获批省一流专业。学院曾获浙江省实验示范中心,拥有能开展基础研究的300余M2独立的护理科研实验室,拥有近5000M2的省部共建高校实验室、58家实力雄厚的临床见习实习基地,国内率先探索“基础-专科-综合”的三阶梯护理实验教学模式。
学院实施“人才强院”战略,积极推动学院、医院深度融合,着力打造一支结构合理、素质优良的师资队伍,现有高级职称教师310人(含临床教师),其中博士生导师8人,硕士生导师59人,护理专任教师中博士(含在读)21人。学院教师曾获“全国五一劳动奖章”“中国好人”“全国巾帼建功标兵”“全国新冠疫情防控工作先进个人”“中华护理学会杰出护理工作者”“省级优秀教师”“浙江省‘三育人’先进个人”等荣誉。学院曾获“浙江省三八红旗集体”“浙江省巾帼文明岗”等荣誉。
学院积极开展教育教学研究改革,学院教师主编、参编国家规划教材等各类教材113部、各类学术专著16部,主持国家社会科学基金重点项目、国家自然科学基金等各类课题320余项,在British Journal of Dermatology及中华护理杂志等国内外核心期刊发表论文670余篇;获得国家发明专利及省科技进步奖项等科研成果30余项,获全国青年教师教学基本功大赛一等奖、全国微课比赛一等奖等教学类奖项30余项,曾获省教学成果二等奖、校教学成果一等奖。
学院坚持开放办学,先后与10余个国家(地区)的20余所高校、教育科研机构建立合作关系,国际交流日趋活跃。2011年与美国托马斯大学合作举办的护理学专业本科项目是国内首个获教育部批准的护理本科中外合作办学项目;2018年获教育部批准与泰国东方大学合作开展的护理学专业硕士学位教育项目,是学校首个中外合作办学硕士教育项目。学院响应国家“一带一路”倡议,2018年开展全国首个“生命天使”非洲助产士助理培训项目,该项目2019年入选教育部“中非友谊”中国政府奖学金项目,2022年获人民日报报道。
学院自觉践行救死扶伤、服务社会的担当,是全国第5家国际造口治疗师培训学校、浙江省人力资源和社会保障厅老年人能力评估师和健康照护师新职业社会评价组织、浙江省专科护士、温州市红十字会初级救护及安宁疗护志愿者培训基地。持续17年开展的急救知识宣传志愿服务,获批中国红十字志愿服务项目发展计划试点项目、中国红十字青少年社会实践项目。新冠肺炎疫情突发期间,学院师生积极投身这场疫情防控阻击战,停课不停学、停课不停教,服务社区和机构,无不展示着护理人的担当。

Wenzhou Medical University has been enrolling full-time nursing undergraduate students in 1998. The School of Nursing was established in 2001 when it began to enroll nursing college students. It set about recruiting graduate nursing students in 2006, and began enrolling midwifery students in 2018.
The School of Nursing adheres to the fundamental task of establishing moral education and the connotation of “nursing with technique, nursing with morality” which is committed to cultivating advanced nursing talents with “solid foundation, strong skills, humanism and innovation” which has sent more than 15000 graduates to the society. Students in the school has participated and won the Gold and Silver Award, First Prize, and other prizes in the National Challenge Cup, “Internet +”, Medical technical Skills Competition for college students and other competitions. Student papers have been selected as one hundred outstanding scientific and technological papers of the Chinese Nursing Association, excellent practice results of professional degree postgraduates and outstanding professional master’s degree theses of Zhejiang Province. It is the main high-level nursing talents training base in Zhejiang Province which integrates clinical practice, teaching, scientific research and management.
The school has first-level discipline master degree, and has been approved as the Key Discipline in Zhejiang Province, the First Class Subjects (Category B) in the 13th and 14th Five-Year Plans, the Advantageous Major and Key Major in Zhejiang Province. In 2016, the undergraduate nursing program was the 15th in China and the first in the province to be certified by the National Ministry of Education. It was later approved to be the national first-class major construction point in 2020. In 2022, the midwifery major was approved as the provincial first-class professional construction point. The school has been awarded Experimental Demonstration Center of Zhejiang Province which owns 300 square meters of independent nursing research laboratory that can carry out basic research and nearly 5000 square meters of university laboratories jointly built by the province and the ministry. It has 58 fully reinforced clinical internship bases and takes the lead in exploring the three-step nursing experimental teaching mode of “basic-special-comprehensive” in China.
The school implements the strategy of strengthening the school with talents, actively promotes the deep integration of the school and the hospital, and strives to build a reasonable structure and excellent quality of the faculty. Currently, including clinical teachers, there are 310 teachers with senior professional titles, 8 doctoral supervisors and 59 master supervisors. In nursing teachers, there are 21 with doctoral degree, including doctoral candidates. The faculty members of the school have been honored as “National Labor Medal”, “Good People of China”, “National Women Model”, “National Advanced Individual in COVID-19 Prevention and Control”, “Outstanding Nursing Worker of Chinese Nursing Association”, “Provincial Excellent Teacher”, “Advanced Individual” of educating by teaching, managing and serving in Zhejiang Province and other honors. The school has gained honors such as the “March Eighth Red Flag Collective” and “Women’s Civilization Post” of Zhejiang Province.
The school carries out vigorously educational and teaching reforms, teachers have edited and coedited 113 various textbooks, including national planning textbooks, and 16 academic monographs. They have presided over more than 320 projects, such as the key project of National Social Science Foundation and the National Natural Science Foundation, and have published more than 670 papers in key journals such as British Journal of Dermatology and Chinese Journal of Nursing. They have also obtained more than 30 scientific research achievements such as national invention patents and provincial science and technology progress awards, and over 30 teaching awards such as the first prize in the competition of the National Young Teachers’ Teaching Basic Skills and the National Micro-lesson Competition, the second prize of provincial teaching achievements and the first prize of school teaching achievements.
Adhering to opening-up school running, it has established cooperative relations with more than 20 universities and educational and scientific research institutions in more than 10 countries or regions and thus the international exchanges are increasingly active. The undergraduate program of nursing major jointly established with Thomas University in the United States was the first Sino-foreign cooperative program approved by the Ministry of Education in China in 2011. In 2018, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to carry out a master’s degree education program in nursing science in cooperation with Burapha University in Thailand, which was the first Sino-foreign master’s education program in Wenzhou Medical University. In response to the Belt and the Road Initiative, the school launched the Life Angel Project that was the first training program of African midwifery assistants in 2018 which was selected into the Chinese Government Scholarship Program of the Ministry of Education named the China-Africa Friendship in 2019 and was reported by People’s Daily in 2022.
The school consciously practices the responsibility of healing the wounded, rescuing the dying and serving the society. The school is the fifth international training school for ostomy therapists (WCET) in China, the new professional social evaluation organization for the evaluator of the abilities of the elderly and the health caregiver of Zhejiang Human Resources and Social Security Department, the training base for specialized nurses in Zhejiang Province and the training base of Red Cross primary aid and hospice volunteer in Wenzhou. It has provided volunteer service of first aid knowledge publicity for 17 years and has been approved as the pilot project of the development plan of Chinese Red Cross Volunteer Service Project and the teenager social practice project of Chinese Red Cross. When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, the faculty and students actively participated in the prevention and control of the pandemic. Though classes were suspended, they didn’t suspend learning, teaching and serving the community and institutions, showing the responsibility of caregivers.
Seeking the growth of nursing teachers and students, seeking the development of nursing career, the School of Nursing will stick to the original aspiration in mind and practice the mission with political development as the guide to promote high-quality Party building to guide high-quality development. It will uphold the concept of “realizing the fusion among colleges, the fusion between colleges and hospitals and the fusion between doctors and nurses” and push forward actively the seven development plans, including party building quality enhancement, talent introduction and cultivation, discipline breakthrough, major improvement, excellent nursing students training, platform transformation, and social service. Focusing on undergraduate education, actively developing postgraduate education, focusing on clinical nursing, featuring internationalization, and striving to build a domestic first-class and internationally influential applied research institute, the school will deliver excellent results of Zhejiang high-quality nursing personnel training in forging ahead on the new journey of Chinese modernization.
